Solo & Ensemble Festival
Event categories: participation optional, open to all students, $
The Middle School Vocal Solo and Ensemble Festival is an optional festival which provides interested choir students the opportunity to sing for judges individually as a soloist or in a small ensemble. The judges will offer constructive critiques to improve individual student musicianship. This festival will take place in Albuquerque on a Saturday, usually at a high school, so students can sign up for a time that works best for them. Friends and families are more than welcome to attend and watch. Entry fee is $5 per student per entry, and each song has an accompanist fee of $10. Solo and Ensemble music will be worked on in class after the Music Performance and Assessment Festival, but outside practice will be expected.
This event has been canceled for 2020/2021, due to the pandemic.
